Actinomycetales

An order of bacteria containing     forms     that     develop     a branched mycelium reminiscent of  fungal   growth   forms,   though   on   a   far smaller scale (actinomycete hyphae rarely exceed 1.5 μm in diameter). Most are saprophytic though some are pathogenic.
