Calcicole

Describing a plant that flourishes in lime-rich soil. The presence of such a plant is so characteristic of such conditions that it can be used as an indicator. An example of a calcicole plant is the common spotted orchid (Dacty-lorhiza fuchsii). Compare calcifuge.
