phycobilisome

A small particle, about 30 nm across, many of which are found on the membranes of the lamellar system of blue-green algae. Phycobilisomes are thought to be aggregations of the pigment *phycobilin. They are also found in the plastids of red algae between the photosynthetic lamellae.
